Hallo!
This is a short note about the current status of packaging the
"C Development Tools" for eclipse.
The current situation is like this:
* eclipse 3.0 is about to be packaged for debian, shortly after the
breaking RCP-API changes make it into I-Builds.
* CDT isn't compatible with the 3.0 stream
* the *next* release of CDT is said to be much better and more
featurefull than the current one.
So my current plan is to package eclipse 3.0 and then wait for the
next CDT release.
As anyone might be interested: I will use the same build mechanism as
the builds on eclipse.org, so the release will be done via CVS
checkouts, not downloads. The new eclipse 3.0 stream packages will be
done in a similar way.
