Does animals-game have all the > functionality of animals so it could actually replace that package? Absolutely. You can have all that and more! NOW how much would you pay? ;-) Seriously: animals is to be removed from testing for the upcoming release, and I had a look into that package while searching for trivial to fix RC bugs. It's a children's game, all it does it creating a binary tree of animals and yes/no-questions for distinguishing between them. You have to enter all data yourself, it's an example of a self-lerning program. Originally, I suggested to remove this program, but later on, I found a perl script by Randal L. Schwartz doing exactly this thing. I added some code for I18n to it and decided to package it for Debian, since the virtual package junior-games-text still depends on animals, which stops animals to be removed. And yes, I contacted Randal about this matter, and he considers his code to be published under the same license as Perl itself. So I think that all issues are solved, and I don't see a reason to not replace animals with animals-game. If you still have objections, please do not hesitate to contact me again.
