I hate to say it but I won't be maintainer for Firebird 2. Please see http://bugs.debian.org/151052 My area of interest has changed *a lot* lately along with many fundamental things in my life. I'd love to pacakage and maintain firebird2 packages, especially now that fb2 is much more builder-friendly ;-) But I just don't use it anymore and I don't think I'll be in next year or so. You may try to inform people at debian-devel ML so that they new that FB2 is ready to be packaged. Maybe somebody will come up. I tried a few months ago but nobody was interested. BTW: I'd gladly give away FB1 packages too if somebody wanted them. I am very sorry for disappointing you but I would be unhonest if I claimed that I can be good FB2 maintainer. Thanks and good luck!
