Hi, Marcelo! * Marcelo E. Magallon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [2003-08-14 11:54]: > any luck adopting celestia?
I have working packages already: http://people.debian.org/~mf/celestia/ One thing that is still unsolved is if it is OK that the new celestia pulls in KDE and QT libs. The old one was GTK2 as you know. Personaly I'm inclined to do it because the KDE version has vastly more features and the other versions are no longer actively maintained upstream. Another thing is the GTK2 patches that were in your version. Did you do them yourself? Did you forward them upstream? Because upstream still uses GTK1 & Gnome 1.4 and according to the developers has also no inclination to change that save anybody starts working again on the GTK-Version (which seems unlikely). I have no experience with GTK or Gnome so I wouldn't want to maintainn such a patch myself and am thinking about just forwarding the patch it upstream and then going with the normal upstream version letting them decide whether to use it or not. If you have any suggestions on one of there points they are much appreciated. Other than that expect an upload within the month. Cheers, Mika
