The first is an XMMS effect plugin does the very simple task of taking the audio data from XMMS and sending it to the second program which is a standalone program called (aptly enough) "oddcastv2". Obviously, this is not a very good long description for the final result. I am open to suggestions. This will depend on the oddcast package previously ITP'd. Upstream distributes these pieces of software in one tarball; they may or may not be built from a single source package in the end. As I understand it, both pieces should be usable seperately. The upstream author of this software has been contacted; I am waiting for a reply before beginning serious packaging work. - Keegan --SLDf9lqlvOQaIe6s Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/C8DMRMUr35HwZXoRAhEIAJ9QzoYrji4jP+GLP9HIMsLJT11shQCfa2hJ VFqmQDK2k3W8MAVFYF3L7XU= =WC6W -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --SLDf9lqlvOQaIe6s-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 200579-done) by bugs.debian.org; 8 Aug 2003 17:47:45 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Aug 08 12:47:33 2003 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from dsl-209-162-205-200.dsl.easystreet.com (rune.thebasement.org) [209.162.205.200] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 19lBKv-0001Ef-00; Fri, 08 Aug 2003 12:47:33 -0500 Received: from ice by rune.thebasement.org with local (Exim 3.36 #1 (Debian)) id 19lBKu-0003ox-00; Fri, 08 Aug 2003 10:47:32 -0700 Date: Fri, 8 Aug 2003 10:47:32 -0700 From: Keegan Quinn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Dead ITPs: oddcast and xmms-oddcast Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="pf9I7BMVVzbSWLtt" Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-GPG-Key: http://rune.thebasement.org/~ice/keegan.gpg X-GPG-Fingerprint: 1EDE 2467 74A9 6FF0 687C 2194 44C5 2BDF 91F0 657A User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.4i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-21.8 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_20,EMAIL_ATTRIBUTION,IN_REP_TO,PGP_SIGNATURE_2, QUOTED_EMAIL_TEXT,REFERENCES,REPLY_WITH_QUOTES, USER_AGENT_MUTT autolearn=ham version=2.53-bugs.debian.org_2003_07_20 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.53-bugs.debian.org_2003_07_20 (1.174.2.15-2003-03-30-exp) --pf9I7BMVVzbSWLtt Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline On Wed, Jul 09, 2003 at 12:14:20AM -0700, Keegan Quinn wrote: > The upstream author of this software has been contacted; I am waiting > for a reply before beginning serious packaging work. I never recieved any reply from Oddsock about this software, and after using it for a while, I've discovered that it is really not very stable at all. It has been one month since my initial contact message was sent and these ITP bugs were filed, so I am closing it now. Oddsock has been active on other mailing lists and forums, so I am assuming that he is simply not interested in continuing work on this software.
