CDL3 (Compiler Description Language) is a language based on affix grammars. It is intended for development for compilers. It has an easy to use, yet powerful way to traverse complex datastructures. . The language looks like PROLOG, but is deterministic and strongly typed. For these reasons, efficiency and static checking are much better than in PROLOG. CDL3 is available as a compiler generator on numerous platforms, producing either very efficient assembly code or (less efficient but portable) C code. . It was developed at the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands. I already have a beta version of this package. CDL3 is a build dependency for my next ITP, AGFL.
