I request an adopter for the createrepo package.
The package is implemented in Python and is part of the rpm / yum
package software stack. This package will ideally be maintained within
the Debian RPM packaging team [1][2][3].

The createrepo tool generates the repodata directory and XML metadata that
makes up a repository of RPM packages. This repository format is supported
