I have added a small patch to flashrom upstream and added the patched source code for flashrom v1.0.x to salsa: https://salsa.debian.org/jeremiah-guest/flashrom The patch (available as a Pull Request in GitHub to upstream; https://github.com/flashrom/flashrom/pull/71) allowed me to build flashrom for Debian.
