Needs a kernel patched with kernel-patch-bootsplash. splash is used to convert a theme to a format suitable to be attached to an initrd for the kernel to load the theme, or to change the picture displayed on the console while the system is running. fbresolution shows the current used resolution on framebuffer console. progress is used to draw a progress box on the framebuffer console.
