Hi, I notice you're planning to adopt syslinux. We were planning to adopt this package under the Debian Live/Debian CD teams as we use this for the official CD image builds.
This is not a trivial package to maintain and updates really *need* to be coordinated with the CD team, especially when coming up to release time. I'm happy if you're still interested in maintaining this, but I just wanted to make you aware of the importance of this package before you commit to its maintainance. I notice also that you're currently a DM, and I'll be happy to sponsor uploads of this package and also perform testing of the Debian Live toolchain with those updates before the new package is introduced into the archives.
