Rocket.Chat is a Web Chat Server, developed in JavaScript, using the Meteor fullstack framework. Also it has it's own native Linux client (but can work without it through web browser). It is a great solution for communities and companies wanting to privately host their own chat service or for developers looking forward to build and evolve their own chat platforms. Some kind of "Debian packages" are provided by upstream. These packages work, but they are not so good and really need some competent love. Maybe interesting for webrtc people.
