Dear Fredrik, I'm a packager and maintainer for the Debian GNU/Linux project and I'm writing to inform you that at this present time we are unable to distribute Plugger with our distribution as requested at <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?archive=no&bug=149020> Even though Plugger itself is GPL'ed, the Netscape Plugin SDK that your sources depend upon legally is not opensource since Netscape shipped it without any license at all. That means that Debian cannot distibute Plugger and the SDK. So when you have the time, please patch Plugger so that it can be successfully built with the Mozilla libraries instead. Once that happens, I will be more than happy to officially package it for Debian and actively maintain it.
Yours sincerely, Andrew Lau -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Andrew 'Netsnipe' Lau Computer Science & Sturep, UNSW * * "apt-get into it" Debian GNU/Linux Packager * * <netsnipe(+)debianplanet.org\0> <alau(+)cse.unsw.edu.au\0> * * GnuPG 1024D/2E8B68BD 0B77 73D0 4F3B F286 63F1 9F4A 9B24 C07D 2E8B 68BD * ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
