Package: wnpp Version: N/A; reported 2002-10-19 Severity: wishlist * Package name : tz-brasil Version : 0.1 Upstream Author : Pedro Zorzenon Neto <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://igbt.sel.eesc.sc.usp.br/~pzn/tz-brasil/ * License : GPL Description : Automatically corrects the clock according to Brazilian rules
In Brazil, we have a problem with the PC clocks... every year in the summer, the clock is changed to a offset (GMT-2hr) and then in the autumn the clock turns back to the regular (GMT-3hr) offset. Every year the day this offset begin and the day it will end are different, so must edit the timezone information and compile it with "zic" program every year. I intend to design this package "tz-brasil", so that it gets the information from a server and corrects the clock every year. (Please don't discuss this crazy clock system of my country. I also don't like it... I'm just making a package to have the right timezone information in my PC) -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux mantis 2.2.20cbq-transproxy #1 Qui Ago 8 16:28:15 BRT 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=pt_BR, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR
