I've updated phpList packaging [1] which I consider mostly complete. Apart from usual testing some issues are still left to do, see TODO.Debian [2]. At the moment my biggest concerns are lack of information about some images images [3] and non-free "progressbar.js" [4].
Also I've found that upstream wants contribution agreement signed for any kind of contribution. I don't quite see how this can be sustainable for us as upstream may refuse to merge patches we forward [5]...
