Hello dear people of wnpp!

I have a question regarding the status of xmpp-client (console XMPP client written in pure Go) in Debian.

I saw on the bug report logs (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=740741 ) that it's on wishlist for almost a year now, i.e. "352 days in preparation. "

I'm not familiar with Debian's policy on new packages so I'm wondering if you could explain to me what's the status of xmpp-client as a Debian package and when can we expect it to enter the distro (I'm guessing experimental)?

Thank you for your time,

Damian Davis
