There's already an ITP for wxpython3.0, which is the appropriate place for discussion of packaging wxpython3.0: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=734799 If you want to make it happen sooner, help is most welcome (I seem to be the only active member of the wx maintainer team currently, and I don't have infinite time to devote to it). I'm also not a heavy python user and don't use wxpython myself. One pending issue is some non-DFSG files, which I asked upstream about (no response yet): http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/15917 I suspect we'll end up having to repack again, but I was hoping upstream would clean up the non-DFSG files as they have for wxwidgets itself.
