I was thinking someone was working on this already, Andreas did a lot. I took your
changes and made a package back in spring this year, the stuff is here:
http://sid.ethz.ch/debian/wmaker/
If nobody wants to do anything here, I will go forward and update the upstream
tarball and continue the Debian packaging.
