Which architectures provide framebuffer drivers? According to linux/drivers/video/Config.in there doesn't seem to be an architecture restriction, thus architecture "any" - but I have been told e.g. Alpha doesn't support framebuffer. IMHO this should still be architecture any, as it's just VESA-Framebuffers that are only supported by i386...? This patch adds the Linux Progress Patch option to the Linux kernel. The Linux Progress Patch is a kernel patch which displays a full-screen logo with a progress bar and some informational text while booting. It hides the normal startup messages printed by the kernel, and is meant for people that don't care about boot messages. It is based on the original LPP by Cajus Pollmeier <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> available at http://lpp.freelords.org The theme I created looks about like this: http://people.debian.org/~gordon/lpp.jpg Preliminary debs are available at: deb[-src] http://freakzone.net/ debian/ License is GPLv2 Gordon -- Gordon Fraser [EMAIL PROTECTED] HOST SYSTEM RESPONDING, PROBABLY UP... http://www.freakzone.net --------------------------------------- Received: (at 138121-close) by bugs.debian.org; 24 Mar 2002 07:38:54 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 24 01:38:54 2002 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from auric.debian.org [206.246.226.45] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 16p2ac-00036B-00; Sun, 24 Mar 2002 01:38:54 -0600 Received: from rdonald by auric.debian.org with local (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 16p2AR-0002az-00; Sun, 24 Mar 2002 02:11:51 -0500 From: Gordon Fraser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Lisa: $Revision: 1.4 $ Subject: Bug#138121: fixed in kernel-patch-lpp 0.4.0-1 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Randall Donald <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 24 Mar 2002 02:11:51 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of kernel-patch-lpp, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: kernel-patch-lpp_0.4.0-1.dsc to pool/main/k/kernel-patch-lpp/kernel-patch-lpp_0.4.0-1.dsc kernel-patch-lpp_0.4.0-1.tar.gz to pool/main/k/kernel-patch-lpp/kernel-patch-lpp_0.4.0-1.tar.gz kernel-patch-lpp_0.4.0-1_all.deb to pool/main/k/kernel-patch-lpp/kernel-patch-lpp_0.4.0-1_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
