You asked about the status of this package; I've claimed it and will release a package soon. However, I didn't notice your comment on the RFP until just now -- it looks like you sent it just a few hours ago.
It's not clear to me from your message what it is that you want. Do you want to maintain the package? Or are you offering a package for someone else to maintain? If you want to maintain the package, no problem. I claimed it because I didn't see anyone else doing so. But you beat me to it by a few hours, so as far as I'm concerned you've got it. If you don't want to maintain it, I will. I've been talking to the upstream maintainer over the last few days. We've identified a few bugs, which are to be fixed in the 2.0.14 release, due out fairly soon. I was going to delay uploading the package until 2.0.14 was released. I already did all the packaging for 2.0.13, which has been running on my system for a few days and seems fine.
