What do you gain from a seperate package? And why do you want to put a single file into a package? A package with just one file might make sense if the postinst does some automatic setup but you can't do this here. I know that I am repeating myself - but you have not given any counter arguments to this point. Debian already has 8000+ packages, more packages will only further bloat the archive - especially if the package contains just a single file (37 KB). -- Stefan Gybas
