Okay, rebuilding libsasl7 with libdb3-dev worked! The binaries no longer depend on both libdb2 and libdb3! Unfortunately, I'm still having problems with cyrmaster taking forever and a day to start up, and I can't log in via POP3 even after creating an account. I think I need to RTFM a bit more.
Note that when you rebuild libsasl7, you must have automake 1.4-p4.1, not 1.5-1, installed. The build will break with automake-1.5-1. See bug #114130 for details. http://bugs.debian.org/114130 Dave On Tue, Oct 16, 2001 at 07:14:55AM -0500, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > It appears that cyrus2-common, cyrus2-imapd and cyrus2-pop3d all depend > on libsasl7, which depends on libdb2 (at least it currently does in > 'unstable'). > > If libsasl7 were recompiled to use libdb3, I think it might solve a lot > of problems.
