Hi Colin, it's great to see that those packages are helping somebody.
Thierry Bourrillon wanted me to incorporate the python-omniorb into the main omniorb source package (which was the way that AT&T did it), but that was quite different to the way I packaged it, so it'll take a bit of work. I started, but I'm travelling at the moment, so work has slowed down a little ;). I'll try to get it finished once I have stable access to development-grade machines.
