It is a frontend for every grab-program and mp3-encoder. Nearly every program should be supported. MP3c has two different run-modes: An interactive mode with a menu-enviroment (based on curses-lib), which can used on textconsoles as well under X11, and a batchmode, which allows automatic encoding of cds inside shellscripts (eg at night within cronjobs). -----[ Domenico Andreoli, aka cavok --[ http://filibusta.crema.unimi.it/~cavok/gpgkey.asc ---[ 3A0F 2F80 F79C 678A 8936 4FEE 0677 9033 A20E BC50 --------------------------------------- Received: (at 90692-done) by bugs.debian.org; 29 Mar 2001 10:05:14 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Mar 29 04:05:14 2001 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from filibusta.crema.unimi.it [159.149.70.89] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 14iZIo-0000X7-00; Thu, 29 Mar 2001 04:05:14 -0600 Received: by filibusta.crema.unimi.it (Postfix, from userid 701) id 3D6F99572A; Thu, 29 Mar 2001 12:08:05 +0200 (CEST) Date: Thu, 29 Mar 2001 12:08:05 +0200 From: Domenico Andreoli <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: ITP: mp3c -- Creator for MP3-files Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.2.5i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm closing this ITP of mine because mp3c needs a mp3 encoding software. Since Debian cannot distribute any mp3 encoder, mp3c itself cannot be distributed as part of debian. :( Sorry, the flaw is of the mp3 patents. Damned patents... *grin* Best regards -----[ Domenico Andreoli, aka cavok --[ http://filibusta.crema.unimi.it/~cavok/gpgkey.asc ---[ 3A0F 2F80 F79C 678A 8936 4FEE 0677 9033 A20E BC50
