Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist The CaSU consists of 2 utilities written by Luke Mewburn (the author of 'lukemftp', the NetBSD enhancements to the BSD ftp program), who wrote these to be used on the systems here at RMIT University.
to - sends a short message to another user (rather like write(1)) flon - lists your friends who are logged on 'to' is sort of a hybrid of write and finger (no remote support though, although the author did have this in mind at one stage). You can also 'exclude' individual users from sending you messages using ~/.torc (ie. without doing 'mesg n'). 'flon' uses ~/.friends to find if your friends are logged on to the system. Beats using "who | grep '(friend1|friend2|...)'" anyday. License is GPL.
