fair enough. Just be aware that only 1 in 30 remailers I know of still uses
2.0.x. All others either use 2.9beta3x or reliable.

What is cpunk passthrough?
FWIW I've never seen an 2.0.x mixmaster with cpunk keys so I think they
don't act as Type I remailers.

Cleanest thing for the remailer would be to make the stats itself.
Cmeclax as well as christian mock (austria remop) both have written/
are writing stats engines on unix. They could be packaged too.
Maintaining the list of hosts to ping is some work tho so perhaps also
offer a simply downloader for stats (that runs daily). This is less secure
tho.
