Version: unavailable; reported 2003-05-14
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : vkeybd
  Version         : 0.1.11
  Upstream Author : Takashi Iwai <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
* URL             : http://members.tripod.de/iwai/alsa.html
* License         : GPL
  Description : virtual keyboard for AWE, MIDI and ALSA

vkeybd has been in woody. I haven't found why it was removed
=66rom sid, but then that vkeybd was part of the "awe" package,
so it was probably with that (of course I haven't the removal reason for
*that*, either).

Hacking a vkeybd package isn't all that hard, since the awk source package
is still in the pool, and the diff doesn't look too big.

I'll take a stab at a package today, but... I'm not a DD.

     [ Note: this package belongs to source package awe in woody and it has
       been remove from sid in 2002. Beside vkeybd the awe source package in
woody
       provides also packages holding kernel drivers for Sound Blaster AWE32.
After
       these drivers have been included in the Linux kernel the upstream
splitted
       the code and changed the versioning of vkeybd, thus I'm using epoch ]
