The package description is: MySQL is a fast, stable and true multi-user, multi-threaded SQL database server. SQL (Structured Query Language) is the most popular database query language in the world. The main goals of MySQL are speed, robustness and ease of use. The generated binaries are mysql-server, mysql-client, mysql-common, libmysqlclient12 and libmysqlclient12-dev. There is also a set of packages from the mysql-dfsg-4.1 for the next version branch that I do also maintain (and look for help for). The packages are currently quite stable and matured but never the less have quite complex scripts and it's a widely used package which should not be left alone when I'm on holidays or ill. Also there are licensing issues every couple of month with which you can tease the always helpful MySQL employees... *evilgrin* Although I'm happy for anybody who helps a but, I'm looking specifically for an official Debian Developer as a Co-Maintainer who is able to upload packages. bye, -christian- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 295311-close) by bugs.debian.org; 30 Mar 2005 03:13:03 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 29 19:13:03 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DGTdf-0001V1-00; Tue, 29 Mar 2005 19:13:03 -0800 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1DGTTO-0007ZC-00; Tue, 29 Mar 2005 22:02:26 -0500 From: sean finney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.55 $ Subject: Bug#295311: fixed in mysql-dfsg 4.0.24-4 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Tue, 29 Mar 2005 22:02:26 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-Spam-Level: Source: mysql-dfsg Source-Version: 4.0.24-4 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of mysql-dfsg, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: libmysqlclient12-dev_4.0.24-4_i386.deb to pool/main/m/mysql-dfsg/libmysqlclient12-dev_4.0.24-4_i386.deb libmysqlclient12_4.0.24-4_i386.deb to pool/main/m/mysql-dfsg/libmysqlclient12_4.0.24-4_i386.deb mysql-client_4.0.24-4_i386.deb to pool/main/m/mysql-dfsg/mysql-client_4.0.24-4_i386.deb mysql-common_4.0.24-4_all.deb to pool/main/m/mysql-dfsg/mysql-common_4.0.24-4_all.deb mysql-dfsg_4.0.24-4.diff.gz to pool/main/m/mysql-dfsg/mysql-dfsg_4.0.24-4.diff.gz mysql-dfsg_4.0.24-4.dsc to pool/main/m/mysql-dfsg/mysql-dfsg_4.0.24-4.dsc mysql-server_4.0.24-4_i386.deb to pool/main/m/mysql-dfsg/mysql-server_4.0.24-4_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
