Wonderful! _ALL_ my problems have disappeared by downgrading gs to 7.07. So, right now, I have the following problems resolved: - font rendering, they look beautiful again! - ps2epsi resizes the bounding box again. - all pdfs I tried are viewable again. I tried some that didn't work with 8.01, and they work now. What's not resolved is the fact that eps2eps turns my LaTeX fonts into bitmaps, but since I don't need eps2eps anymore (ps2epsi works) that is not really a problem. I certainly hope this will be fixed in debian soon. Many, many thanks! David PS: snapshot.debian.net is very, very useful! -- Hi! I'm a .signature virus.
