Sorry for the incoherence. I will have to read what I write before sending it. Let me be more explicit:
For inbox folder (incoming mail): 'From' field is good, I want to know who sends it. For sent folder (outgoing copied mail) 'To' field is good, I want the name of the person to know to whom I sent the email.
This is what I use set index_format="%4C %Z %d %4l:%-15.15F %2M %s"
The %F is displayed by mutt as the sender when the mail is to me, and as the recipient when the mail is from me.
on an inbox, it gives me this format 94 rsT 13 Apr 04 63:Nico Schmoigl Re: [Badmem-users] locked-out
and on sent mail 55 F 01 Apr 04 6:To mrtg-request subscribe
