I was in the middle of an apt-get dist-upgrade when it asked me about whether to keep, change, etc. the proftpd.conf file. Well, I wanted to look at the difference, which is what I often do, but instead of hitting just "d" apparently I hit <Backspace> then "d" and then Enter. Now it's just sitting there doing nothing. Can I just Ctrl+c the dist-upgrade and then run it again, or is there some other way I should approach this issue?
I would Ctrl-C; then if necessary, dist-upgrade again; then if necessary, "dpkg-reconfigure proftpd" (but check for a backup file of your proftpd.conf first, and back it up as well as the current version, just to be sure, before doing anything after the Ctrl-C.
