Thanks for the replies, I booted to knoppix using the command knoppix 2 which got me to a (looked like) root prompt, but how do I access /usr/local/src/ to access my kernel.deb to reinstall it? I got to, I believe, the /usr/local/src/ which is not on my hard drive, but maybe in knoppix, because when I did ls the folder was empty. Thanks again.
