j2re1.4.2_04/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so, which I acquired from the Sun site crashes Firefox. The mere presence of a symlink to it in my ~/.firefox/plugins directory and Firefox 0.8 doesn't even start up. Googling suggested that that plugin was my _solution_, but it's not!
