I just installed the 2.4.16 686 kernel image and now when I
boot I get these messages
request_module[block-major-3]: root fs not
mounted
VFS: cannot open root device "hda8" or 3:08
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel Panic: VFS Unable to mount root fs on 3:08
What do I do? Help!
