<I have a newbie question - whats the Linux CLI equivalent of nbtstat <-S from the command line?
Hi Nathan, NETBIOS is wintendo specific and NOT used under *NIX Systems, only exception as mentioned before is SAMBA (which is the "link-up" from *NIX to Wintendo systems).............. so as long as you don't use Samba the command nbtstat would be more then useless under *NIX...... Take a look at the Samba-Client Package, maybe there is a similar command....... I can't tell :-) never needed it... Greets, Simmel BTW netstat is available on both Wintendo AND on *NIX.
