With bootparm "linux DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium" you can select which bootloader you want, but... selecting "lilo" results in him still insisting to install grub. For which I filed bug #239494.
The lilo installer was shipped broken in beta 3 of the debian installer. If you want to install lilo, use a daily CD build.
