Any method of recompressing data should always bring it to a (relativley) uncompressed form first. I don't know a lot about compression but I'll start reading a book on it on Wednesday. Honest. As a start - you'll need to fill in the command line args as I don't know them: #!/bin/perl `mvs2wav $_ | lame > $_.mp3` foreach (@ARGV); Brian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
