Trying to install Daenziger's xlibmesa-gl1-dri-mach64 will remove seven 
modules including the xlibmesa stuff it is supposed to replace, gtk3.x-mt 
library and tens of programs that are dependent upon them. Not to pleasant a 
proposition. As I stated, it would seem to me that there is an interface to 
the callers that needs be maintained. SO this trunk may be unusable.
