Hello all, I've managed to badly screw up apt-get by going from KDE 2.2 in woody to a KDE 3.2 woody backport.
Shame on me, but now I've uninstalled the 3.2 backport and reset my sources.list to have the following (uncommented) lines: deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stable main deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ stable main deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main Trouble is, I can't now install the regular woody version of KDE. After an apt-get update, I get: mycomp:~# apt-get install kde Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. I'm not really sure how I got into this rut, but I'd welcome with open arms any suggestions on how to get out.
