I need to be able to install xlib6g on a debian unstable. apt-get install xlib6g gives me: ------------------------- apt-get install xlib6g Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: xlib6g: Depends: xlibs but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages ------------------------- The package xlib6g exist in stable (yes I have added stable as well in /etc/apt/sources.list). The package description is here: http://packages.debian.org/stable/libs/xlib6g So it's a trick package to be able to install old debian 2.2 X packages on debian 3.0. So now I wan't to be able to do this on unstable as well. It did work with XFree86 3.2, but after upgradig to XFree86 3.3 it stopped working. Any other mailinglist that migth have to right people to answer this?
