-- Have you went to http://www.kano.mipooh.net/ and downloaded the fix-fonts.sh? Then in the directory downloaded too chmod +x fix-fonts.sh to make executable you should now log out of KDE and choose from the Menu item on the login screen console login. Login as normal user then use su to become root and change to the directory containing the file and ./fix-fonts.sh to run and after complete /etc/init.d/kdm restart to get a new KDE login screen.
