klecker.debian.org, which serves non-us.debian.org and security.debian.org, died again about an hour ago with power supply problems and won't boot. VA Japan had already donated a new PSU, which is due to arrive on Friday; it seems likely that the system will be down until then.
There are also plans for a hot spare for that system, to reduce the likelihood of future failures causing a problem. Unfortunately there wasn't time for these to be put into effect between the last episode of downtime and this one. (I'm not one of the Debian sysadmins; just reporting news early in case it takes a while to reach the announcement lists as it did last time round.) -- Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
