Interesting. I have not advanced far enough with debian to consider a
kernel recompile, so I didn't compile the module as being verbose. I
didn't compile the USB mass storage module, either. Is the implication
it is verbose by default? 

I rather like seeing the verbosity as a check to see if all goes well,
but have little use for a log.
