You seem to be getting errors loading a few other modules as well. Perhaps you need to define the ModulePath in /etc/X11/XF86Config (in the Files section) - I'd guess you need: ModulePath "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules:/usr/X11R6/lib" or, since it seems quite happy to search subdirectories of the module path, just: ModulePath "/usr/X11R6/lib" As to _why_ these modules are in /usr/X11R6/lib and not in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules, though, I have no idea... -- Pigeon Be kind to pigeons Get my GPG key here: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x21C61F7F
