Hello! I'm running Debian woody + a 2.6 kernel and I'm experiencing problems with the sound. If I do: mpg123 -o alsa song.mp3 the sound sounds very bad. It's a little hard to explain, but it sounds like you have increased the bass for 500% and the speakers gives a very noisy output. I guess the problem "could" be the sound server. I've tried Jack, but it seems that the programs are not using it.
