Ah yes. This makes much more sense. So /dev/sda had some entity fiddling with its last few blocks where the backup GPT is located. The backup GPT should be regenerated. /dev/sdg looks like an image of a ~111 GiB disk was put onto the 223 GiB disk and the backup GPT was never regenerated at its new proper place. I understand from the man page of gdisk that the sequence "r" and "d" should regenerate the backup GPT from the "main" GPT. Have a nice day :) Thomas
