Check out grimripper too, it's packaged in Debian, and is basically a GTK3 fork of asunder (which is GTK2). As you might know GTK2 is on it's way out of Debian, so I believe asunder won't be present in forky and later. There's however talk about other ports to GTK3 of asunder [1], and actually, work being done on an supported version of GTK2 [2][3].
