Hi folks,

first of all I want to thank you for this much response to my little question.

At the moment, the use of the smbclient command looks very promising. As it is
capable to copy files to a server, it can use credentials and even capable to
download files from windows.

The syntax ist well explained.

As mentiond, latest windows shall have ssh installed (a great improvement for
Microsoft, already after 30 years they are using ssh LOL), but I suppose, this
must be activated manually. I doubt, many windows admins will do this, as it
is not graphical (except using putty) and my personal experience in the past
with MS-admins is ,they do not really care and do not know much of security).

I suppose, best solutions for my questions at the moment are the use of
smbclient and/or scp. If someone got further ideas, I will be hapy to listen
to.

Otherwise this little question can be tagged as solved.

Thank you very miuch for all your ideas and help.

Best regards

Hans
