offense to fail to provide passwords or other access to data in your
possession.
As a general thing, encrypted drives such as those uses on Apple devices
have a higher complete data loss rate than non encrypted drives.
At least half of Tor exit Nodes are run by State authorities. Anyone
accessing a Tor exit node will automatically be put on a watch list by
local authorities.
In my my view, if you have specific data you want to protect, such as
passwords or bank details, then using an encrypted file e.g. a zip file
is a good solution.
