You need a [section] header above it. Also, this is a setting that allows multiple instances, so the question is whether you want *both* the default activation and your override activation to occur, or only one of them. If you only want the override activation to occur, then your override file should look like this: [Timer] OnCalendar= OnCalendar=Mon *-*-1..7 17:00:00
