CAUTION: Upgrading stable Trixie systemd-networkd might break your network
Is systemd-networkd the default on Debian? If so, why? I switched a Ubuntu server to Devuan because of another issue of systemd-networkd repeatedly bringing the interface up and down. Switching to network manager fixed it but I decided on Devuan anyway. Why is buggy poorly designed code being installed because it has systemd in it's name and why are new things like networkd and pulse audio segfaulting (halting systemd shutdown for minutes) when e.g. Ada is easy to use and now mature with great tooling learning materials and solved segfaulting 50 years ago. Rust is only a great choice to those who haven't investigated Ada properly including for kernel work but Rust would also solve these segfaults. -- Regards, Kc
